As an Outbound Sales Development Representative at Hero Housing, you’ll be responsible for initiating conversations with property owners, landlords, and property managers to identify high-fit properties and book qualified discovery calls with the founder.
This role is focused on quality conversations over volume, clear value communication, and strong handoffs—not high-pressure sales.
- Conduct outbound outreach to landlords, property owners, and property managers via phone, email, LinkedIn, Zillow, and listing platforms
- Clearly communicate Hero Housing’s value proposition:
- Long-term leasing
- Guaranteed monthly rent
- Professionally managed and cared-for properties
- Housing credentialed healthcare professionals
- Qualify property owners based on predefined criteria (unit type, location, vacancy status, lease flexibility)
- Prioritize vacant units and expiring leases
- Schedule discovery calls directly on the founder’s calendar
- Maintain accurate notes and updates in the CRM / lead tracker
- Deliver clear, structured handoffs after each booked meeting
- Follow a defined outreach cadence and continuously refine messaging based on feedback
- 1–3 years of outbound SDR, BDR, or inside sales experience (real estate, property management, or marketplace experience is a plus)
- Comfortable making cold calls and sending outbound messages
- Strong communicator—clear, calm, and professional
- Organized and detail-oriented (notes and handoffs matter)
- Curious and consultative, not transactional
- Motivated by building something early and meaningful
- Experience selling to landlords, property owners, or small business owners
- Familiarity with Zillow, Apartments.com, Facebook Marketplace, LoopNet, or MLS listings
- Experience working with early-stage startups or founder-led sales teams
- Clear product-market fit and focused target markets
- High-integrity sales motion—no aggressive or misleading tactics
- Direct access to the founder and real influence on go-to-market strategy
