The Role
We’re seeking a Fractional HR Manager to serve as a hands-on partner to our leadership team, managing critical HR functions on an as-needed basis. This role focuses on executing hiring, firing, interviewing, and other HR duties to support our multi-entity platform’s growth and operational needs.
What You’ll Do
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage job postings, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate onboarding for roles across construction, development, and asset management.
- Termination & Offboarding: Handle employee terminations with professionalism, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Job Role Development: Partner with leadership to define duties, responsibilities, and qualifications for new and existing roles, tailoring them to construction and real estate needs.
- HR Operations: Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with state and federal labor regulations, leveraging HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, ADP, Paycom).
- Performance Management: Implement and track performance review processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Process Improvement: Streamline HR workflows, such as applicant tracking and employee record-keeping, using tech tools to improve efficiency.
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced environment.
Who You Are
- Experienced HR professional with hands-on experience in construction and/or real estate (SHRM-CP or PHR preferred).
- Skilled in managing end-to-end recruitment, from job posting to onboarding, and handling sensitive terminations.
- Comfortable defining job roles and responsibilities that align with operational and strategic goals.
- Proficient with HRIS and project management tools (e.g., BambooHR, ADP, Paycom, ClickUp) to automate and track HR processes.
- Strong communicator with a practical, results-oriented approach to HR challenges.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fractional capacity, stepping in as needed for high-impact tasks.
- Knowledgeable about labor laws and safety regulations specific to construction and real estate.
