Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
- Operate Square POS system to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent service that encourages repeat visits and positive experiences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage stations, and dining spaces.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and processing of payments.
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to café offerings while adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista with a strong understanding of beverage preparation techniques.
- Proficiency with POS systems for retail sales transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper cleaning protocols.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in coffee experience or café environments is highly desirable; previous barista experience is necessary.
