The Hermosa Beach City School District is nestled in a beautiful beach city just 7 miles south of the LAX airport. HBCSD is currently comprised of three school sites, Hermosa View, Hermosa Vista, and Hermosa Valley School. We are a TK through 8th grade school district with a friendly staff, an involved parent community, and high expectations. Our mission is to work in partnership with our community to empower and prepare students to achieve and thrive by providing a relevant education, a safe and healthy environment, and an inclusive culture. Job Summary

Job Summary

Assists a teacher or other certificated employee in a transitional kindergarten (TK) classroom by preparing and conducting instructional support for individuals and small groups of TK students, including those of all abilities. Supports the implementation of daily lesson and classroom routines, reinforces learning objectives through guided practice and activities, and fosters a positive, developmentally appropriate learning environment. Provides assistance with classroom organization, supervision of students, and the preparation of instructional materials, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the educational program while supporting students with various behavioral needs. 28 hours/week, Monday through Friday.
