HBCSD is currently comprised of three school sites, Hermosa View, Hermosa Vista, and Hermosa Valley School. Job Summary

The substitute paraeducator position typically works up to 6 hours per day. This assignment will be in person with students.

The Hermosa Beach City School District is nestled in a beach city just 7 miles south of the LAX airport. We are a Kinder thru 8th grade school district with a friendly staff, an involved parent community, and high expectations. We are a small team of hard working employees in our District Office. We desire a candidate who has special education education experience or a desire to assist students with special needs. The typical hours are from approx. 8:00 a.m. - 3:00p.m. Exact schedule & hours will vary depending upon the student's grade level. This is a substitute, on-call, as-needed basis position. The substitute will cover for permanent instructional assistants who are on vacation or call out sick. We are seeking talented individuals that are willing to support our vision and meet our growing community’s needs.
