What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Assembler position at Hermetic Solutions Group?
The Cable Assembler position will play a key role within a team that will work together to assemble our customer’s product. The ability to perform effectively in a manufacturing environment and in conjunction with meeting delivery schedules and customer requirements is critical to this position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- This position will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as cables and harnesses.
- Ability to read and understand, in English, the customer drawings, parts list, wire list, specifications and assembly router for step-by-step instructions on how to manufacture the wire harness and cable assembly.
- Must have experience in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, measurements and cable harnessing.
- Soldering experience.
- Familiar with basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, heat gun, soldering iron.
- Keeping equipment in good working order by performing regular inspection, cleaning, servicing along with routine and preventative maintenance.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Education or GED.
- Minimum 2 year experience required
- RF Experience Preferred
- IPC620 and JSTD Certification a plus
Requirements:
- Hands on experience in assembly of small electro-mechanical products, preferably connector or cable assemblies
- Able to read, understand, and explain drawings and work instructions.
- Able to read and write English.
- Must be able to pass Visual Acuity requirements (color, depth perception and field of vision)
- Must follow strong safety standards
- Must possess attention to detail
- Must be able to work as part of a team
