Cable Assembler

The Cable Assembler position will play a key role within a team that will work together to assemble our customer’s product. The ability to perform effectively in a manufacturing environment and in conjunction with meeting delivery schedules and customer requirements is critical to this position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• This position will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as cables and harnesses.
• Ability to read and understand, in English, the customer drawings, parts list, wire list, specifications and assembly router for step-by-step instructions on how to manufacture the wire harness and cable assembly.
• Must have experience in performing assembly tasks such as wiring, component installation, hand soldering, measurements and cable harnessing.
• Soldering experience.
• Familiar with basic hand tools, cutters, wire strippers, hand crimpers, scissors, heat gun, soldering iron.
• Keeping equipment in good working order by performing regular inspection, cleaning, servicing along with routine and preventative maintenance.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Education or GED.
• Minimum 2 year experience required
• RF Experience Preferred
• IPC620 and JSTD Certification a plus

Requirements:

• Hands on experience in assembly of small electro-mechanical products, preferably connector or cable assemblies
• Able to read, understand, and explain drawings and work instructions.
• Able to read and write English.
• Must be able to pass Visual Acuity requirements (color, depth perception and field of vision)
• Must follow strong safety standards
• Must possess attention to detail
• Must be able to work as part of a team

Other:

2nd shift employees will receive an additional 10% Shift differential ADDED to their base pay rate, not to exceed $2.00.
