What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician III position at Hermetic Solutions Group?
SUMMARY (Overview of this Position)
The Assembly Tech 3 will work in all areas of production including sub-assembly, filter assembly, non-filter assembly, shell assembly, and custom assembly areas.
You will be cross trained in all these areas as production needs dictate to develop the advanced skills necessary to assembly custom connectors.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Needed/desired for this Position)
Three to Five years of experience building custom connector assemblies.
Extensive knowledge of materials and assembly methods used in custom connector assembly.
Knowledge of lean six sigma manufacturing principles.
High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES – (Specific Job Proficiencies and Skills)
Experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Connector assembly
- Small electronics assembly
- Lean Six Sigma
- Wire prep and Soldering
- Circuit board prep and Soldering
- Use of electronics testing equipment (Network Analyzers, Multimeters, Hipot, Osciloscopes, Frequency Generators, Curve Tracer, etc)
- Use of small hand tools (tweezers, dental pics, exacto knives, etc.)
- Working under a microscope
- Use of pneumatic dispensing machines
- Reading and implementing assembly process instructions
- Interpret drawings
- Read calipers/tape measures
- AS9102 Quality Environment
- Decision-making Quality/Willingness
- Flexibility
