Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Summer Camp Counselor to join our team for the summer season. In this role, you will lead engaging activities, supervise campers, and help create a fun, structured, and memorable camp experience.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all campers
-Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as arts & crafts, outdoor play, storytelling, and group games
-Create and implement weekly lesson plans for school-age children
-Transport children safely to and from activities as needed
-Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children
-Manage daily schedules and ensure smooth transitions between activities
-Handle behavioral concerns with patience and professionalism
-Communicate effectively with parents and staff as needed
-Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards
Qualifications:
-Experience working with children in a camp, school, or childcare setting
-Strong leadership and organizational skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Energetic, creative, and nurturing personality
-Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
-Valid driver’s license and safe driving record (for transporting children)
-Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Preferred Qualifications:
-Previous leadership or supervisory experience
-Background in early childhood education or a related field Experience designing or leading creative or educational activities
