Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Supervise warehouse associates, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving personnel to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Help coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities with transportation and logistics teams.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and warehouse management system (WMS) processes.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, food-grade handling standards, and warehouse best practices.
- Support scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management of warehouse staff.
- Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and safe warehouse environments.
- Work closely with customers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve operational issues and maintain high service levels.
- Participate in cross-docking, transloading, and distribution operations as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
