We are seeking a skilled and reliable Appliance Repair Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of household and commercial appliances. This role requires technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, and dishwashers.
- Effectively communicate with customers to explain the nature of the appliance malfunction, the repair process, and provide accurate cost estimates and timeframes.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Replace or repair faulty components, including motors, switches, belts, and wiring, using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintain accurate records of all service calls, including parts used and services provided.
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest appliance technology, repair techniques, and industry advancements.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Frequent travel to customer homes and businesses.
- Requires standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Work may expose technicians to a variety of environmental conditions, including unheated/uncooled areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
