Overview

Heritage Wealth Advisors seeks highly motivated interns to provide support for our Financial Planning & Tax team and assist in serving Heritage’s high net-worth clients. The internship will focus on our financial, estate and tax planning services. Interns will participate in comprehensive training and work closely with the Wealth Advisors and other senior members of our team to service existing and new client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Wealth Advisors in the preparation of client meetings and client proposals.
• Gather information to analyze and prepare comprehensive financial plans.
• Draft client communications including e-mail, telephone, and written correspondence.
• Potential to participate in and document client meetings.
• Assist with tax planning strategies for clients.
• Update and maintain client communications, tasks, and appointments in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Support the Heritage team with day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate, junior or senior year students in relevant subjects (ie: accounting, finance, economics, additional fields of study for consideration).
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Minimum commitment of 15-20 hours a week, in-person, with opportunity for additional hours.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Intellectually curious, organized, excellent analytical, and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a desire to work collaboratively.
