What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient Pharmacy position at Heritage Valley Health System?
Department: Inpatient Pharmacy - Sewickley
Work Hours: Full-Time, Primarily daylight shifts with occasional evenings, rotating weekends and holidays
Hours of Operations: M-F 6am-10pm, Sat/Sun 7am-7pm
As part of the patient care team, the pharmacy technician provides assistance to the pharmacist. This position requires a commitment to continually support pharmacy services in order to provide quality care and efficient operations while considering fiscal responsibility.
Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent. A commensurate combination of education/experience will be considered.
Willingness to be become a registered pharmacy technician with the PA State Board of Pharmacy or is currently registered by June 26, 2026
Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
Preferred
Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician’s training program and one (1) year experience in Hospital Pharmacy Setting as a Pharmacy Technician.
