What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant (ConvenientCare) - Part-Time position at Heritage Valley Health System?
Clinic Location: Chippewa Township Medical Neighborhood ~ May work in other HV CC clinic locations prn for staffing needs.
Work Hours: Rotating schedule of 12 hour shifts (Mon-Fri) and 8 hours (Sat/Sun) during regular clinic business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Part-time MA for this position will work at least 20 hours per week.
The Medical Assistant I provides selective medical services including standard medical assistant responsibilities as well as specialized testing under the direction of Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners and Physician, to coordinate medical service needs of the patients served.
Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent. CPR certification. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred
Associate degree program; Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, or NCCT NCMA), minimum of one year medical assisting; Computer experience.
