Job Overview
Heritage Urgent & Primary Care wants you to join our team! We are looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant that has availability to float between our Wake Forest and Raleigh locations. We do not require a Medical Assistant certificate and provide on the job training for Medical Assisting skills. We promote a strong work-life balance and take pride in our intimate culture.

Clinic Hours (hours average around 40 hours per week and Saturday shifts are rotated)
Monday-Friday 8AM – 5PM
Saturdays 9AM – 3PM
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and clinical operations within diverse healthcare settings. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting physicians and healthcare professionals by providing exceptional patient support, managing medical documentation, and ensuring smooth clinical workflows. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and infection control standards are upheld.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently by documenting patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans with precision.
- Support patient transfer methods safely and effectively within the facility, including ambulation assistance and use of mobility aids.
- Operate medical equipment such as EKG machines, sterilizers, and other diagnostic tools following proper protocols.
- Communicate clearly with patients of all ages, including geriatric populations, providing education on procedures and post-care instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
