Job Title: Title Processor
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Title Processor to join our team at Heritage Title, Ltd., a real estate title company that is licensed in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Title Processor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient real estate transactions by managing the title process from start to finish. You will work closely with our clients, lenders, and real estate agents to provide exceptional service and ensure all legal and procedural requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Review and clear title commitments and surveys.
- Examine title reports, surveys, and legal descriptions to verify ownership, encumbrances, and requirements for issuing title insurance.
- Coordinate with attorneys to resolve title issues such as deeds, releases, and judgments.
- Prepare and review closing documents, including HUD-1 Settlement Statements and Closing Disclosures.
- Communicate with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate agents to schedule and coordinate closings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organized files and documentation throughout the title process.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Title Processor or similar role within a real estate title company (required).
- Licensed Title Insurance Producer in Maryland also a licensed title insurance producer in DC, VA, PA, and DE is also a plus!
- Proficiency with title processing software Qualia.
- Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, title insurance, and closing procedures.
- Notary License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Current knowledge of local, state, and federal real estate regulations.
