DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICES' DUTIES:
Plans assign & inspect the work of Food Service Staff.
Schedules and assigns staff prepares department payroll for data entry.
Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies.
Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, & dining areas, and equipment.
Checks resident's trays for consistency with the specified menu & works on tray line at mealtimes.
Charts dietetic progress for Residents at least quarterly to meet care plan goals, as required.
Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events.
DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICES REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced cooking environment.
Serve Safe certified.
Strong knowledge of the practices utilized in large scale & therapeutic food prep.
Certified Dietary Manager or Certified Food Service Manager designation is required in accordance with CMS and/or State/County law.
Solid leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work as a team member.
