Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities. MUST HAVE AN HCA , NEGATIVE TB TEST and Dementia_ care experience._
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' social interactions and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Lift and assist clients as needed while maintaining their dignity and comfort.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and dementia care required.
- Background in nursing home settings or long-term care facilities is advantageous.
- Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow prescribed interventions effectively.
- Experience in hospice care or home care is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate approach to caregiving that prioritizes the needs of clients while promoting their independence.
