Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff during daily operations
- Schedule assignments and ensure adequate departmental coverage
- Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures, infection control, and safety practices
- Monitor inventory levels and order housekeeping supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, state, and facility infection prevention guidelines
- Address resident, family, and staff concerns related to housekeeping services in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with cleaning duties as needed to support departmental operations
- Maintain accurate records, schedules, and documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall resident satisfaction and facility cleanliness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of infection control and cleaning standards in healthcare settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical duties throughout the shift
