JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs general maintenance, repairs and upkeep of the production, material handling equipment and plant facilities.
EQUIPMENT: Oven, pressure washer, drill motors, grinders, forklift, hand tools, multi meter, megger, amp probe
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position.
- Install, repair, and/or connect power supply wiring and conduit to machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses, tests, and discussed malfunctions with supervisors and other maintenance workers to assess machine operation variations. Determines equipment problems, plans and performs repairs as needed.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices.
- Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors. Visually inspects and test machinery and equipment.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Performs repairs and routine maintenance to the physical structure of the facility.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Performs preventative maintenance to plant buildings and equipment in accordance with established schedules and as assigned.
- Understand and comply with the proper departmental implementation of all ISO 9001 policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting – Must be able to lift up to 100lbs. occasionally while working on equipment.
- Standing, Walking – Continuously to move throughout the plant
- Bending, Reaching – Continuously to perform job duties
- Climbing – Frequently to access equipment throughout the facility.
- Tactile/Senses – Must be able to see and hear to perform job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing is required to facility equipment diagnosis. The employee is continuously required to use hands to finger, handle or feel equipment and tools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma
- Minimum requirement of Associates Degree in Electronics or related field and 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with other departments, fellow employees, management and contractors.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
