Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Engage children in hands-on learning experiences that support childhood development and early intervention initiatives.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress using standardized testing methods and child development instruction techniques.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address behavioral challenges, and support child welfare.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed at all times.
- Organize lesson planning sessions that incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies to enhance preschool teaching effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, and special education needs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curriculum content across various subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and toddler care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies suited for preschool-aged children.
- Experience with lesson planning, standardized testing, tutoring, and implementing early intervention programs is preferred.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is highly desirable.
