Heritage Ministries is in growth mode and are currently seeking a Nurse Educator to join our team!
The Nurse Educator is the general supervisor and program coordinator for the Nursing Assistant Training Program, coordinating with the facility DON and Corporate Training & Employee Development Department.
Brief Summary of Duties:
· Provides classroom instruction and clinical supervision in accordance with the approved course outline.
· Ensures training is consistent with objectives of the nursing department.
· Maintains accurate records,
· Compiles information for review and audit purposes.
· Ensures compliance with New York State Department of Health requirements with regard to training and education of the Nursing Assistant Trainees.

Requirements
• Licensed currently as a New York State registered professional nurse in good standing. Maintenance of licensure requirements required.
• Minimum two years nursing experience, at least one year must be in the provision of long term care nursing care facility required. B.S.N. Degree preferred.
• Minimum two years of verifiable teaching experience of the adult learner as approved by state education department, state approved nursing program, or teaching nurse aides in a nursing home. Additional supervisory experience preferred.
• Must possess required state approved Nursing Assistant Training Program credentials indicating adult learner training, must have proof of “Train the Trainer” program completion.
• Must be able to meet health assessment requirements, including required testing and health documentation.
• Ability to lift over 60 pounds at various times as necessary. Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, squat, twist and engage in repetitive motion for extended periods of time.
