What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Driver Associate position at Heritage Landscape Supply Group?
Seeking a self-motivated, customer service-oriented individual for a Counter Sales Associate. This full-time position will focus on order entry at the sales counter with other related warehouse duties such as stocking shelves, shipping products, loading trucks, and some driving as well. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with an opportunity for overtime during the busy season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Entering orders at the point of sale using the company computer system
- Interacting with customers over the phone, via email, and in-person
- Greet customer with friendly attitude
- Communicate to customers the correct product for their application
- Communicate to customers how material is priced and sold
- Create Sales Orders and Quotes to estimate cost of projects, quantities of material needed from customer measurements
- Ensure smooth deliveries by scheduling effectively and maintaining open communication with team members and clients
- Order picking/staging/Replenishment
- Shipping/receiving
- Loading/unloading delivery vehicles
- Delivering products to customers and branch locations
- An eye for safety including pre-trip inspections, securing loads, and strict adherence to DOT/CDL regulations.
- Understanding and adherence to the regulations detailed in the FMCSA.
- Other related duties as assigned (some driving duties)
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer knowledge, including keyboard (typing), mouse, and Internet use
- Experience with irrigation products/pool and installation preferred, but not required
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred, but not required
- Acceptable driving record
- Forklift experience helpful
- Ability to lift 75 lbs; 50 lbs on a repetitive basis
- Able to a pass pre-employment drug test and DOT Physical
