What You'll Do
Permit Acquisition
- Research and identify permit requirements for residential service and installation projects based on local codes and municipal regulations
- Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time
- Track permit applications, follow up with municipalities, and resolve questions or issues as they arise
- Maintain current knowledge of permitting requirements across the communities we serve
- Partner with trade managers, technicians, installers, and customers to address permitting and compliance-related issues
- Stay up to date on local building codes, permit requirements, and regulatory changes impacting residential home service projects
- Support process improvements that strengthen compliance and operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate and organized records of permit applications, approvals, inspections, and related correspondence
- Generate reports to track permit status and provide updates to internal stakeholders
- Prepare and organize documentation needed for inspections and ensure all required paperwork is readily available
- Serve as the primary point of contact for municipalities, permitting offices, and inspectors
- Coordinate inspection schedules and site visits with customers and internal teams
- Communicate permit requirements, timelines, and status updates to ensure projects remain on track
- Collaborate across departments to support a seamless customer experience from permit application through project completion
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers regarding permit-related questions and updates
- Proactively communicate permit status, inspection schedules, expected timelines, and potential delays
- Act as a liaison between customers and permitting authorities while ensuring all work remains compliant with local regulations
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and collaboratively to deliver an exceptional experience
- Experience in permit coordination, project administration, residential construction, home services, or a related field
- Knowledge of residential building codes, permitting requirements, and municipal approval processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple permits and project timelines simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, municipalities, inspectors, technicians, and internal teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and software
- Experience supporting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, remodeling, or other residential home improvement projects is a plus
