POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for recruiting, teaching, and coaching student athletes in the sport of basketball. Coaching, instructing, and performing other duties necessary to the development of the individuals and the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Planning and teaching student athletes the rules, techniques, and skills to become a better basketball player.
Directs individual and group practice activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Past play experience in basketball.
Preference given to those with coaching experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience in skill instruction, practice/game plan development of basketball.
Excellent organization/communication skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neighboring localities.
