What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Heritage Food + Drink?
We are looking for experienced host to join our rapidly growing team. We are a full service, high volume restaurant spread over two floors, with a 100 seat event space and 65 seat outdoor patio. We have a total of 300 seats and the restaurant was custom built from the ground up 9 years ago. We are seeking employees who enjoy the hospitality business and are looking to further their hospitality career. There is lots of room for growth!
Primary Functions:
- Establish and maintain the restaurants standards of service.
- Promptly greet guests upon arrival
- Field phone calls & oversee reservation process
- Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process.
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude. Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
- Fill in for absent staff as needed.
- Assist with special events as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
