As we continue to expand, we are searching for a Mortgage Servicing Specialist III to join our amazing team!
The Mortgage Servicing Specialist III must be knowledgeable of Freddie Mac, FHLBI, and Federal mortgage servicing guidelines, ensuring strict adherence to all timelines. Responsibilities include timely review, funding, and shipping of investor loans, daily postings, assisting with monthly escrow analysis, and coordinating HMDA reporting and file maintenance that is required to comply with the HMDA LAR code for all mortgages, including those serviced in Episys. The specialist will provide professional service and support to members, credit union personnel, vendors, builders, and mortgage staff. Proficiency in all essential functions and job duties of Mortgage Servicing Specialist I and II (Escrow Specialist and Construction Specialist) is required.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely input and funding of new mortgage and construction loans into FICS and Symitar. Build and organize the file, and submit the service event for quality assurance.
- Create investor sales contracts and track gain on sale.
- Prepare and ship investor loans by entering loans into the appropriate selling system and sending them to Document Custodian.
- Prepare file for submission to vendor for creation of mortgage loan activity statements.
- Process the HMDA records file for formatting through Symitar and Access and download into the HMDA software.
- Completing loan modification for both in-house and Freddie Mac loans.
- Process foreclosure and bankruptcy loans in all applicable systems.
- Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- High School Diploma required. Degree or advanced certification in an accounting-related field is preferred.
- Five or more years in mortgage servicing required.
- Understanding of mortgage products and services.
- Experience servicing Freddie Mac loans preferred.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Ability to work on numerous tasks simultaneously.
- Attentive to detail and accuracy.
