Position Purpose Summary:
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth within an assigned territory by developing strategic customer relationships, executing sales plans, and expanding market share. This role combines direct selling responsibilities with ownership of territory strategy, customer development, and revenue performance. The position plays a critical role in customer retention, new business development, and overall profitability for Ed’s Supply Company.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks:
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on revenue growth, margin expansion, and market penetration
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key accounts and prospective customers
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the HVAC/R market
- Analyze sales performance, customer data, and market trends to adjust strategies and improve results
- Promote HVAC/R products and services to residential and commercial contractors
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and sales agreements; negotiate pricing and terms
- Monitor competitive activity and communicate market intelligence to leadership
- Collaborate with branch leadership and internal teams to align on goals and ensure execution
- Participate in trade shows, customer events, and industry activities to grow market presence
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales reporting; complete administrative requirements
Education / Experience:
Certifications:
- None required (industry certifications a plus)
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Equivalent experience in HVAC/R, distribution, or related field considered
Years of Experience:
- 5 years of HVAC/R sales or related industry experience required
