Position Summary:
NuComfort, LLC. is a distributor of quality HVAC equipment and supplies to residential and commercial contractors, with 3 locations in the Chicagoland area. We are seeking a motivated and experienced HVAC Territory Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives within the greater Chicagoland area.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, and driving sales growth of HVAC products and solutions. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales within the HVAC industry. This position has a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention, and sales results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve territory goals and increase market share.
- Identify and target new business opportunities, including HVAC contractors, mechanical engineers and facility managers.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients by providing ongoing product support, training, and value-added services.
- Conduct regular sales visits, product presentations, and technical consultations.
- Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., engineering, customer service, marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and competitive intelligence.
- Attend industry trade shows, events, and training sessions to stay current with HVAC trends and technologies.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and pricing trends within the territory.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HVAC sales or a related field (3 years preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC solutions.
- Familiarity with LEED, ASHRAE, or other HVAC-related certifications or standards.
- Technical training or certifications in HVAC systems is a plus.
