Server

Welcome to The Heritage! We are the Country Club Plaza's premier Asian cuisine! We are looking to add some additional staff to our team! Please note that servers must be 18 so they can serve liquor.

Pay is $7.50/hr while serving, in accordance to Missouri state law if your tips do not average you $15/hr your pay will be bumped up for that shift. We offer health insurance for our staff (90 day employment is necessary for qualification with an average of 30 hours per week). You walk home with your cash and credit card tips go on your paycheck (paychecks are issued every two weeks).

AVAILABILITY: We are specifically looking for a server with mostly open availability, discussion of shifts needed will happen during your interview.

Server duties:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide menus and answer any questions regarding menu items, take note of special requests and food allergies
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system
- Upsell additional menu items, specials, or promotions to increase sales
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Process guest payments accurately using a cash register or POS system
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a polite and timely manner
- Assist with other duties as assigned and maintain a friendly and teamwork driven environment

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry is required with a 2 year minimum
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Knowledge of basic math for handling payments and making change
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team is required

- Strong knowledge of beer liquor or wine is not required but heavily preferred

- Bilingual applicants are greatly appreciated but not required (Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish) Please note in your application if you are able to speak another language
