What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Director position at Heritage Communities?
Make Lives Better, Build Your Future: Join Heritage Communities as our Director of Marketing!
Let’s make marketing that actually matters.
At Heritage Communities, we’re not just filling apartments—we’re bringing peace of mind to families as their older loved ones choose their next home, start their next chapter, and select a community where they can truly belong. We’re looking for a Director of Marketing who is a strategic visionary, a data-driven leader, and a hands-on executor.
If you love driving high-level strategy, optimizing campaigns for revenue growth, and leading marketing efforts across a growing portfolio—this might be your kind of role.
What You’ll Do (aka where you’ll shine):
- Direct all advertising, digital marketing, social media, and branding campaigns to maximize lead generation and prospect engagement across our portfolios.
- Develop integrated marketing plans that drive high-quality website traffic, convert digital leads, and directly support community-level sales and occupancy revenue goals.
- Push the boundaries of our digital footprint by driving strategy in paid media, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media engagement.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Chief Marketing Officer, VPs of Sales, Director of Marketing Analytics, and Operations to ensure marketing strategies perfectly align with overarching sales goals.
- Partner with Regional Directors of Operations to evaluate inquiry sources, boost conversion rates, and pinpoint opportunities for immediate improvement.
- Oversee the planning, budgeting, and performance measurement of all marketing initiatives, tracking KPIs and optimizing our marketing ROI using analytics, CRM systems, and automation tools.
- Drive the marketing and promotional strategies for new community openings, acquisitions, and rebranding efforts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for our vendor partners (agencies, designers, web vendors), managing those relationships and holding them accountable for successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with HR and Operations to support internal marketing, recruitment, and associate engagement efforts.
- Proactively identify new methods, platforms, and technologies to increase occupancy and keep us ahead of the curve.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 4 years of marketing experience, ideally within senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a closely related industry.
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent real-world experience).
- Deep knowledge of the latest marketing strategies and platforms, including Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, social media strategy, modern AI tools, and sales CRMs.
- High-level organizational and project management skills to manage complex, multi-channel campaigns and budgets without dropping the ball.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the emotional intelligence to navigate ambiguous, challenging, or high-stakes situations with ease.
- The capacity to manage high-level agency relationships now, with the ability to build out and manage a team as the company grows.
- Strong technical skills, including a high proficiency in the Microsoft Business Suite.
- The ability to handle confidential and privileged information, including HIPAA regulations and sensitive resident/associate data.
- A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and you must be at least 21 years of age (required for community events and resident transportation).
Why Choose Heritage Communities?
You’ll shape the future of our culture, influence how we grow, and be part of a mission-driven company where people love to live and work.
