Overview

Working under the overall direction of the Residence Manager, the Shift Coordinator will assist in the daily activities of all individuals.

 

Pay for position: $22.40/hr

 

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities

1.      Provide direction to direct support staff, including delegation of responsibilities, so that services are provided and documented as outlined in the individual’s plan.2.      Perform responsibilities of direct support staff.3.      Administer medications in accordance with Heritage Christian Services Medication Policy.4.      Attend all scheduled training required by Heritage Christian Services. To participate in in-service sessions and other staff training sessions, implementing new procedures and employing SCIP-R techniques as necessary.5.      Attend and participate in staff meetings and contributes toward effectiveness of both the Individual Service Plan and the general residence program.6.      To be familiar with fire and emergency procedures and to assist with fire drills and related documentation.7.      Assure the safe transportation of individuals to and from social events, errands and other necessary appointments using home or agency vehicle. 8.      Provide supervision, direction and training for direct support staff.9.      Assisting when needed with medical appointments and medication responsibilities.10. Ensuring appropriate staff coverage and assisting with scheduling.11. Participation in recreation planning and follow through.

Qualifications

·         Minimum six months experience in direct support is required.·         Must demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills.·         Demonstrated organizational skills.·         Valid driver’s license that meets Heritage Christian motor vehicle standards.
