Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated born again Christian Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development and classroom management to support the growth and learning of young children. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and fellow staff to promote positive behaviors and developmental milestones.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions among children
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Support special needs children by adapting activities and providing inclusive care in collaboration with specialists when applicable
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with patience and professionalism
- Educational background in early childhood education or related field is advantageous but not mandatory
- Demonstrated caregiving skills through nannying, babysitting, or similar roles is beneficial
- A genuine passion for nurturing young children’s growth and fostering a positive learning environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
