Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Boynton Beach, FL, for a Senior Staff Accountant. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for daily financial operations such as preparing financial statements, managing general ledger accounts, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Additional responsibilities include monitoring budgets, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with internal teams to support financial decision-making processes. This role offers strong visibility to leadership and opportunities for growth within accounting and finance.
- Support and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy
- Assist in preparation of internal financial reporting and variance analysis
- Partner with operations teams to understand job costs, variances, and field activity
- Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure alignment with budgets and company targets
- Assist with inventory and cost-related accounting processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Qualifications
- Expertise in accounting practices, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements
- Proficiency with financial software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks or similar)
- Experience with budget management, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or relevent experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or home improvement industry, is a plus
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and prioritize tasks as needed
