About The Role
- The Heritage Building Maintenance Special Services Team Member is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks on a daily basis. This position would take daily direction from our Special Services Manager, who oversees both day and nighttime operations for this team. This team member would be expected to work closely with 2-3 other members of our current special services team to take directions, implement and complete work orders made by the Heritage on a daily basis.
- Hours are varied and dependent upon job needs. Primarily night shift hours will be between 5 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. However, this position requires flexibility and an open schedule. Employees are considered to be on call and may be expected to come in and work during the day and / or on weekends with little to no notice.
Daily job responsibilities/functions may include, but are not limited to:
- Floor maintenance
- Application and removal of Acrylic floor finish.
- Burnishing hard surface flooring.
- Carpet cleaning.
- Application and removal of Urethane floor finish.
- Deep scrub and extraction of Ceramic Tile flooring and other non-finish floors.
- Construction Clean up:
- Detail cleaning of all surfaces upon completion of construction.
- Window washing.
- Removal of excess items during construction.
- Covering regular cleaning duties when needed, to assist Heritage commercial cleaning operations team
- Covering microbial technician and disinfection duties as needed to assist Heritage Microbial team
- Pressure washing
- High dusting of rafters and other surfaces over 6’.
- Hazmat clean-up – training and safety information will be provided
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
- Providing feedback to the office on inventory levels for ordering in client buildings.
- Helping to restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
- Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
- Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
- Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- Some work could require this team member to ride in/drive a company vehicle with supplies for the work that day or night.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. on a daily basis without assistance.
- Must be able to maneuver heavy equipment to/from/on the job
- 1-2 years of janitorial experience and knowledge of/experience using floor care and general janitorial equipment is required.
- On the job training on specific procedures can be provided.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be legally authorized to work within the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Clean driving record required.
- Six months or more related experience preferred.
- Own vehicle or reliable transportation required.
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
- The work is performed in a variety of different office or medical locations with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities.
- The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to fifty pounds. This job description is not an employment agreement or contract. This work requires driving to multiple buildings each night to assist with openings and training new employees.

- Direct Deposit Pay every other Friday.
