About This Job:
We are seeking a strong, compassionate female caregiver to provide part-time assistance for a client experiencing dementia and mild mobility challenges. The client remains fairly independent but needs support with daily hygiene, supervision, and engagement in light activities to promote comfort and well-being.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 2–3 hours per day, 2x per week (Mon & Wed)
- Location: Wailuku, Hawaii, 96793
- Start Date: ASAP
- Pay rate: $20 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Assist with brushing teeth and personal hygiene
- Help make the bed and tidy up her living space
- Support during doctor’s appointments (especially with stairs)
- Provide standby assistance and supervision for safety
- Assist with bathing (2x per week)
- Help with diaper changes as needed
- Light housekeeping (vacuuming, organizing)
- Offer companionship — engage in games, conversations, or light activities during downtime
Requirements:
- Female caregiver (per family preference)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Physically strong and able to assist with mobility safely
- Experience supporting clients with dementia preferred
- Compassionate, reliable, patient, and engaging personality
