Lead Technical PM

What's the role?

We are seeking an experienced product owner to work in the NDS group. The team creates the most comprehensive high definition live map in the market, intended to support precise navigation for self-driving cars.

• Establish and contribute to our shared vision across the company by working with stakeholders to build consensus, solicit feedback, and optimizing the business value realized from engineering team execution.
• Define and align product requirements and acceptance criteria with business and customer needs to deliver a highly competitive product.
• Engage closely with the engineering teams to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable execution schedule.
• Integrate usability studies, customer feedback, research, experimentation, empirical data and market analysis into product requirements and team’s focus to enhance product experience.
• Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.
• Ensure technical requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly defined to support engineering execution
• Ensuring that the Product Backlog is groomed and prioritized
• Ensure incremental improvements are released early and often.
• Lead backlog grooming and iteration planning to prioritize activities on an ongoing basis.
• Support scrum of scrums meetings and program reviews to review progress, address blockers and facilitate scrum ceremonies.
• Develop and manage program level release plans and product roadmaps and report milestone status into program management.
• Tracking external team-level dependencies
• Has end-to-end accountability for software & technology for a product or significant part of a product, defining and driving a technology strategy aligned with the broader organizational strategies and ensuring expected business outcomes.
• Balancing market, customer and internal stakeholder requirements, interface with the Product Manager and Product Marketing & Engineering teams, defines a product development roadmap, driving the delivery of optimized set of features across all stakeholders

Who are you?

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 4 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Experienced agile product owner with 8 years of experience
• 6 years of technical IT project management and 4 years of programming experience
• Quality assurance & testing knowledge is considered a plus
• Experience in balancing market, customer and internal stakeholder requirements, interface with the Product Manager and Product Marketing & Engineering teams, defining a product development roadmap, driving the delivery of optimized set of features across all stakeholders
• Experience managing solution delivery for large complex cross-functional projects and programs
• Expert understanding of agile methodologies, values, and procedures
• Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to manage communications & coordinate between client, development and QA teams
• Team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Knowledge of mapdata e.g. NDS, GIS, RDF, GDF is considered a plus
• Working knowledge of data transformation scripting / ETL is considered a plus
• Outstanding organizational skills and team spirit
• Demonstrated history of strong customer focus and empathy
• Demonstrated ability of translating business requirements into technical specifications / stories

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to dive deep into how we capture the real world, how this is reflected in our reality index, and work with the team on how this data goes straight into cars with our NDS deliveries. Our team delivers digital maps in NDS formats to our automotive customers where the data is going straight into cars to power autonomous driving uses cases.
