Community Outreach Coordinator
PART-TIME | LOS ANGELES COUNTY
Help expand access to free, anonymous peer emotional support for young people across Los Angeles.
Location: Los Angeles County (Hybrid with local travel required)
Status: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week)
Compensation: Dependent on Experience

ABOUT HERE APP
Here App is a program of Tech Supportive, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening teen mental health by providing free, anonymous peer emotional support. Through our professionally supervised platform, trained teen volunteers help bridge the gap between isolation and crisis by offering compassionate, reflective support to other teens.
We believe every young person deserves to feel heard, understood and connected.
THE ROLE
The Community Outreach Coordinator will expand Here App's presence throughout Los Angeles by building meaningful partnerships with schools, youth-serving organizations, community groups, healthcare providers, and local leaders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, representing a mission they believe in, and helping increase access to youth mental health resources.
The successful candidate is relationship-driven, organized, culturally responsive, and passionate about serving diverse communities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, school districts, nonprofits, community organizations, and youth-serving agencies.
- Represent Here App at conferences, resource fairs, and community events throughout Los Angeles County.
- Build relationships with counselors, educators, healthcare providers, faith communities, and youth organizations.
- Coordinate outreach materials and distribute educational resources.
- Track outreach activities, partnerships, and follow-up using organizational databases and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with the leadership team on outreach strategy and community engagement initiatives.
- Assist with planning and supporting special events and volunteer recruitment efforts.
- Identify new partnership opportunities that align with Here App's mission.
- Maintain regular communication with community partners and assist with grant reporting by documenting outreach outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public health, psychology, social work, nonprofit management, education or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Two or more years of experience in community outreach, partnership development, nonprofit, education or youth-serving organizations preferred.
- Passion for youth mental health and community engagement.
- Demonstrated culturally responsive, trauma-informed and inclusive approach when working with diverse communities.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations.
- Highly organized, with strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
- Comfort attending occasional evening or weekend community events.
EXPERIENCE WITH:
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms
- Canva (preferred)
- CRM or donor/community databases (preferred)
- Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) (preferred)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must reside in the Los Angeles area.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout Los Angeles County for outreach meetings and events.
- Ability to occasionally lift outreach materials weighing approximately 25 pounds.
