Position Overview
As the Lead Architect for the AECC program, this role spearheads the design and implementation of a globally distributed, Kubernetes-based hosting environment. Leveraging DevSecOps and IaC frameworks, the Architect will deliver a secure and automated platform to support the Army’s next-generation applications.

Mandatory Certifications
- Baseline: Security or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II
- Computing Environment: Must obtain an industry certification (Kubernetes, DevOps, or Automation) within 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Ownership: Develop and own the DevSecOps and automation framework supporting all AECC environments.
- Architecture Design: Architect robust IaC pipelines for automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment.
- Innovation: Evaluate and recommend new tools and service offerings to enhance the platform's automation capabilities.
- Leadership: Lead the automated installation and lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters, including complex CNI and CSI integrations.
Required Technical Skills
- Infrastructure as Code: Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Vault, and GitLab.
- Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
- GitOps: Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD.
- Automation: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Disconnected Environments: Experience instantiating and upgrading clusters in fully disconnected (air-gapped) environments.
- System Hardening: Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and industry-best cybersecurity controls.

Salary Range: $126,000-$180,000
