What You’ll Do
Lead the Day-to-Day
• Assign tasks, keep production moving smoothly, and ensure daily goals are met.
• Adjust workloads based on demand and keep the team focused.
• Be hands-on, present, and ready to jump in where needed.
Own Quality
• Inspect builds throughout production to ensure every truck body meets specifications.
• Partner with engineering/design teams on custom orders.
• Catch and resolve issues before they become delays.
Develop & Support Your Team
• Train employees on processes and best practices.
• Mentor team members to improve skill, confidence, and efficiency.
• Monitor attendance and performance, partnering with HR when needed.
Champion Safety
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety checks and address hazards immediately.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and safe handling of materials.
Keep Communication Clear & Consistent
• Serve as the point of contact between the floor and upper management.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to align production.
Equip Your Team for Success
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and functional.
• Monitor inventory to prevent delays.
• Maintain an organized and production-ready environment.
Drive Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for smoother, more efficient workflows.
• Lead problem-solving when issues arise.
• Apply lean, 5S, or continuous improvement practices where appropriate.
• Manufacturing experience (supervisory experience strongly preferred)
• Ability to motivate, guide, and lead diverse teams
• Strong communication skills and a people-first mindset
• A commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Lean/CI knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
