The primary function of the Delivery/Shipping Coordinator is to create trucking routes that keep costs down while meeting customer scheduling needs.
$23.50-$31.00 per hour DOE. M-F 6am - 2:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to use sound judgment and problem-solving skills to analyze employee technical problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinate, distribute, and communicate orders to material pullers for picking, packaging, and loading onto delivery trucks.
- Schedule and manage daily delivery routes, maintaining ongoing communication with carriers throughout the day.
- Partner with management to adjust routes based on customer needs and operational priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, drivers, sales staff, and customers.
- Monitor route conditions, including traffic disruptions or construction, and proactively adjust plans to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Respond to last-minute changes, including scheduling urgent or emergency pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate delivery updates or delays to sales staff and customers as needed.
- Assist with order pulling and support warehouse operations when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Graduation from High School or GED equivalent, one (1) year of relevant experience, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
- Minimum one years’ experience with creating delivery routes and dispatching drivers in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of the geographical area and surrounding states the role will be operating in, navigation skills with the ability to understand maps, and GPS.
- Must be customer oriented and motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong communication skills are critical as this position is in constant contact with carriers, customers and other employees located at all branches and departments of the company.
- Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time constraints and strict deadlines.
- Detail oriented with the ability to record and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of PC environment and MS Office programs.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
