Summary: As the Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of fencing installation crews on job sites. You will ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in fencing installation, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of installers.
Pay Range: $26 - $30/hour DOE plus sign-on bonus.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and supervise fencing installation crews on job sites, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment needed for installations.
- Conduct pre-job site inspections and safety meetings with installation crews, reviewing project plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Oversee the installation of fencing materials, including measuring, cutting, digging, setting posts, and assembling panels, gates, and other components.
- Monitor work progress and quality, inspecting installations for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Train and mentor new and inexperienced installers, providing hands-on instruction and guidance to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, equipment usage, and job site activities, documenting work performed and reporting any issues or delays.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles used on job sites, coordinating repairs and replacements as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment among installation crews, promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect to achieve project goals.
What We’re Seeking:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in construction or fencing installation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fencing installation, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong technical knowledge of fencing materials, installation methods, and construction techniques.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire installation crews to achieve high performance and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and fencing installation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
