Job Summary
Join our vibrant acupuncture clinic as a Front Desk Coordinator, where you'll be the welcoming face and efficient organizer that keeps our practice running smoothly. You'll handle a variety of administrative tasks, coordinate appointments, collect insurance information, and support our team with exceptional customer service. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly, check them in efficiently, and manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.
  • Collect insurance information, process payments, and handle medical collections accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Answer the phone with professional phone etiquette, address inquiries promptly, and respond appropriately and take messages for other staff.
  • Review and update medical records, ensuring all documentation aligns with HIPAA standards.
  • Assist with insurance verification, billing procedures, and coding tasks related to medical billing and ICD coding to support smooth clinic operations.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure all documentation review processes are thorough and compliant.
  • Support office management tasks such as inventory control, filing, data entry with 10-key typing skills, and using Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports or correspondence.

Skills

  • Proven experience in medical office management or front desk roles within clinics or dental offices, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with dental terminology is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to navigate multi-line phone systems efficiently.
  • Bilingual (English/Portuguese) abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred to ensure seamless integration into our workflow.
  • Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and maintaining accurate medical records while supporting team members in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
