What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Dentist position at Herald Christian Health Center?
Herald Christian Health Center is announcing a full-time or part-time dentist position in the Los Angeles County (El Monte, San Gabriel, Rosemead, and City of Industry). The candidate we hire will join our dental team at any of our clinics (we are flexible).
As a member of the HCHC team, the ideal candidate is not only expected to be familiar with HCHC philosophy, goals, and objectives but he/she is also expected to work collaboratively with the rest of the team to achieve them. The dentist is responsible for providing clinical dental services and preventative dental care in a community health care setting. The staff dentist must be aware of, and comply with all HCHC policies and procedures, as well as pertinent state and federal regulations. As a dental team member, we expect you to relate well with dental assistants, supervisors, and other dental staff.
Herald Christian Health Center (HCHC) is a non-profit community clinic and a Federally Qualified Health Center. The mission of HCHC is to provide quality and affordable holistic healthcare (medical, dental and behavioral health) to the low income, the uninsured and the medically indigent among the population of San Gabriel Valley and San Diego. HCHC's patient population is comprised primarily of limited English proficient immigrants from China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Taiwan.
Education/License/Certification Required:
1. Graduation from an American Dental Association (ADA) approved school of dentistry
2. Unrestricted, active license to practice dentistry in the State of California
3. Current CPR (BLS) certifications. ACLS preferred
4. Current California DEA
Skills and Specifications:
1. Fluent in English and Cantonese or Mandarin is strongly preferred
2. Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred
3. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required
4. Written communication skills required
5. Able to work flexible hours including weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $145,600.00 - $212,160.00 per year
