- Manage the daily activities of the quality department to maintain the efficient flow of incoming and outgoing product and paperwork. Create and update QC procedures as required.
- Provide leadership and training to the Quality Control Technicians. Tracks QC Technician labor hours and reports on department utilization.
- Owns QC Department Gemba Meeting. Prioritize and schedule product testing for on-time delivery. Manage the communication regarding the status of materials within the QC Department.
- Supply to customers all necessary documentation to certify product quality. Support customer complaints about quality of products.
- Responsible for maintenance of Quality Master Data in SAP. Be able to pull historical data in SAP to aid in investigations
- Calculate and present PD1 QC KPI data. Organizes and reports department metrics at weekly performance dialogue.
- Perform specialized testing as needed. Responsible for execution of SPC analysis on incoming and outgoing testing. Bring SPC anomalies to the attention of the Quality Assurance and Process Improvement Managers
- Resolves equipment issues and coordinates department equipment calibration as necessary. Plan and execute equipment CAPEX and OPEX for the QC department. Assist in the budget process for QC equipment and maintain quality budget records.
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline and five years of quality control experience is required. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and leadership ability; exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative.
- A focus on quality and detail-orientation are required.
- Must have the ability to schedule and prioritize effectively as well as possess organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF, and Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
