Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and manage engineering systems for the maintenance and operation of all manufacturing equipment with emphasis on the development of a robust, world class maintenance program
- Identify, build, implement and manage a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Independently and in cross-functional teams, apply engineering systems to all manufacturing equipment for most effective maintainability and reliability
- Continuous improvement and open mindset absolutely required in all aspects of the job
- Conduct manufacturing assurance analyses and studies including, but not limited to, system safety, efficiency, affordability, maintainability and reliability
- Solve completely failures and problems through data analysis, experimentation, troubleshooting and collaboration with all necessary parties
- Interpret and/or provide engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications and compose reports, procedures and forms
- Develop, implement and manage the maintenance budget including engineering and maintenance-related consumable and spare parts inventories
- Source and secure competitive contract bids, present comparative bid reviews, enlist, schedule, supervise and ensure compliance of all executed contract terms and conditions and oversee contractor liability insurance requirements
- Required to operate company vehicles, industrial forklift, scissor lift and other equipment
- This position requires rotating on-call duties and weekend work as needed
- Up to 5% travel; international travel may be required
What is required for this role:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering – BSME, BSMET or similar
- Five years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Hands-on project management experience required
- Experience with process development, statistical data analysis and SPC is preferred
- Direct experience in fused quartz, ceramic, or glass processing is a plus
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and leadership ability with little supervision
- Exhibit a high level of motivation and initiative with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, oral and written
- Demonstrated decision making, analytical and organizational skills
- Team player
