Summary

The primary responsibility of a CNC programming expert is to write and manage CNC programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in machining operations. They must possess technical expertise in various programming languages, CNC machine operations, and quality assurance.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required):

· Utilizes FANUC G/M code, Heidenhain TNC 640, and Renishaw Probe and Laser. (MasterCAM, SolidWorks or others).

· Interpret engineering drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts, sequence of operations and setup requirements.

· Work with CNC engineer to develop and improve CNC programs.

· Ensure all CNC programming written is in accordance with production prints and quality standards.

· Continually maintain the CNC programming database.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose common CNC problems, consulting with CNC Engineer as necessary.

· Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production, quality, and other team members for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.

Additional Responsibilities

· Oversee CNC machines during production and adjust as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.

· Advise team of technical advancements to increase production.

· Maintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management System

· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and other staff.

· Other duties as directed by Manager.

Education and/or Experience

· 7 years. experience CNC programming in Mastercam. Expert Level understanding of Mastercam is required.

· Expert proficiency in 5 axis programming.

· Expert Proficiency in Blueprint Reading, GD&T, Inspection Tools & Methods.

· Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

· Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

· Mature, professional, safety oriented, work demeanor.
