Key Responsibilities
- Travel to local hospitals to retrieve face sheets, provider charges, and documentation
- Build and maintain professional relationships with Admissions, Medical Records, and L&D staff
- Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance, and documentation into AthenaOne
- Proactively verify and update insurance; clearly explain billing processes to patients
- Assist with claim holds, documentation review, and revenue cycle workflows
- Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and high accuracy in all work
- Prior experience in OB-GYN, women’s health, L&D, or medical registration/billing
- Strong working knowledge of insurance verification and payer requirements
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence interacting with hospital staff and patients
- High attention to detail and accountability for accuracy
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
- Experience with AthenaOne (Athenahealth)
- Familiarity with Nevada and Arizona payers, including Medicaid
- Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule
