Role Description
Her House Media is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support the community screening of DOUEN on November 1, 2026.
This is a one-day, in-person volunteer opportunity. Volunteers will play an important role in helping create a welcoming and memorable experience for attendees. Responsibilities may include guest check-in, merchandise sales, directing attendees throughout the venue, assisting with audience seating, and supporting event set-up and breakdown.
Volunteers should be available from approximately 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM, including event set-up and shut-down. A brief virtual orientation meeting will be scheduled prior to the event.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests during check-in
- Support merchandise sales and inventory tracking
- Escort attendees to screening and event areas as needed
- Assist with crowd flow and audience seating
- Help maintain a positive and welcoming guest experience
- Assist with event set-up prior to doors opening
- Assist with event breakdown following the screening
- Communicate with the event team regarding guest needs and questions
Qualifcations
- Friendly, professional, and positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable interacting with the public
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to remain on your feet for portions of the event
- Ability to follow directions and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for film, community engagement, and supporting independent artists is a plus
