Manufacturing Engineer (On-site)

HEPCO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and improvement of manufacturing work instructions and procedures for our client. This assignment focuses on converting existing instructions to a new system and improving manufacturing processes using LEAN assembly principles.

• Create, maintain, and improve detailed manufacturing work instructions.
• Research and document manufacturing processes to support the conversion of existing instructions.
• Plan operation sequences and develop procedures for assembly, disassembly, soldering, component removal and installation, and coating.
• Develop fabrication procedures for tools and equipment.
• Evaluate manufacturing methods for efficiency, cost, product performance, and operator effectiveness.
• Provide feedback to improve build and design processes.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements, support audits, and promote quality throughout production.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years of work experience.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent four years of work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in production, electronics, or manufacturing.
• Experience with technical writing, research, and developing detailed work instructions.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Experience with CAD or other visual documentation tools.
• Technical certificate or college degree in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Background in electrical, electronics, mechanical, computer science, or industrial engineering.
