Duties
- Assist experienced plumbers with pipe installation, fitting, and assembly on construction sites.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to support project execution.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Support maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, ensuring proper function and compliance with building codes.
- Help with the installation of HVAC systems and other mechanical components as needed.
- Maintain a clean work area, follow safety protocols, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Participate in field service tasks including troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing system upgrades or remodels.
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or handyman skills are highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, carpentry, and schematics.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures related to power tool use.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of plumbing maintenance.
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service when interacting with clients or team members.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence and building code compliance at all times.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and reading technical specifications.
